Just back from our food tasting! Our appointment was at 6.30pm at Elmwood room and we reached Swissotel Merchant Court earlier to take a look at the ballroom area again hah. Although the food tasting is for 10 people, there were only 8 of us – dear’s family of four, my parents and and my grandma.

The waitress handed us a feedback form for us to rate the food presentation and quality, and to jot down any comments for each dish. Francis, the Catering Sales Manager, also took time to meet us. This was our first face-to-face meeting as our previous correspondences were all via emails.

Food was served at about 7pm and the portion was huge!

Food quality wise was not too bad also. But I understand that food tasting is usually much better than actual day as the hotel wants to impress and it is far easier to cook for one table as compared to more than 40 tables.
The filling 8-course dinner
We were all so full after the 8-course dinner. After the dinner, the chef also came out to ask for feedback. Overall pretty satisfied with the food, but we did make slight changes to the original menu. Hope that the standards can be maintained for the actual day hah.
