A Day of DIY Handicraft

01 Jul

We have been gathering items here and there that could be used as props for our pre-wedding photoshoot. And we have also been looking everywhere for ideas and inspirations hah, from shopping at Paper Market, to browsing wedding magazines, to looking at other couples’ photoshoot on the internet.

We have also decided to hand-make some simple props, and today is the day to get down to work!

All materials have been bought, from places like Paper Market, Popular Bookstore and Art Friend. We got down to work, at my place, at about 1plus pm. A mess was created with all the cutting, pasting, outlining and stuff. Everything went pretty smootly and we were more or less done a couple of hours later hah. Though what we made were just simple stuff, we were quite pleased with our creation!

DIY-ing our photoshoot props

A glimpse into our list of props for the photoshoot:

  • Black chalkboard
  • Picnic mat, picnic basket and other pinic stuff (such as food, books etc)
  • Rainbow colour pinwheel
  • “K”, “&”, and “L” wooden block letterings
  • “Save the date” sign on vintage envelope
  • DIY stuff
  • Colourful helium balloons
  • Bunny soft toys x2
  • Proposal ring
  • Wedding bands
  • Bubbles
  • Pretty umbrella (maybe)

That’s about it! Hmm actually seem like quite a long list hah. Anyway, counting down 3 more weeks to our casual photoshoot by Oh, Dear!

Hi Sharon, you can get them from the shop called “Typo”. There are branches in Wisma, Vivocity and 313 Somerset, among others. Think they are selling at 4 for $12 now 🙂

      Happy planning for your wedding!
